Kevin Hays Dunaway received his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Drury College in 1983 and his law degree from the University of Missouri in 1986. In law school, he was selected for membership to the Board of Advocates based upon his demonstration of oral argument and advocacy skills, and was a Dean's list honoree. He was selected as a teaching assistant in Legal Research and Writing, and was elected President of Delta Theta Phi.

Mr. Dunaway joined the firm upon graduation from law school in 1986 and became a partner in 1991.  He has chaired the firm's Litigation Committee and served on other firm committees, including the Executive Committee and Marketing Committee.

Mr. Dunaway has concentrated principally in general civil litigation, practicing in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury damage claims, divorce and modifications, prenuptial agreements, insurance law, and business organization agreements and contracts. He also practices in general business law and employment law. While with the firm, Mr. Dunaway was appointed Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri from 1987 to 1993.  In 1994, Mr. Dunaway coauthored a chapter in the Missouri Bar's Workers' Compensation Law CLE Handbook and has been a supplement author.
